OS1 Allison Bauser
Hi my name is Allison Bauser. I’m currently stationed at TRACEN Yorktown as a NSARS Instructor. I’ve been running since a teenager casually. At 25 I ran my first half marathon, 30 my first marathon and my first triathlon at 35. I’ve run multiple half marathons and marathons including NYC Marathon in 2023. I have also run multiple relay races including the Ragnar race in Florida, Lake Tahoe and the Keys100. I came into the Coast guard at 29 and I’m originally from NY. I enjoy running for mental health, fitness and the community. When I was stationed in Miami I was part of the South Beach track club for 3 years. Now moving to Yorktown I run with Point2Running and help coordinate 5Ks on base for A school and permanent party.
MK3 Angel Paez
About a year ago, I decided to join the United States Coast Guard, and around the same time, I challenged myself to get into running. After nearly a year of training and completing numerous races, I decided it was time to take on my biggest challenge yet—a marathon. Unfortunately, an ankle injury halfway through training kept me from completing my first marathon, but that setback only motivated me to come back stronger. Now, stronger and better than ever, I’m ready to finish what I started, and it’s only fitting that my final challenge is the Coast Guard Marathon.
