Waterfront Park
This flat and fast 5K weaves in and out of the waterfront and residential districts in Downtown Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Both military and civilian runners are welcome to take part in this race either in-person or virtually. Make your way through the heart of the historic downtown area of the city on a flat and completely paved course. In other words, it’s ideal for every level of runner! One water stop will be located at approximately 1.5 miles into the course.
Athlete Amenities
All registered athletes will receive a race shirt and a virtual goodie bag.
All 5K finishers will receive a finisher medal and finish line refreshments.
Rules & Regulations
Age Restrictions
Athletes must be 4 years old or older on race day in order to register for the 5K.
Time Limit
Athletes have 1 hour 15 minutes to complete the 5K.
Safety on the Course
No animals, no bicycles, no scooters, no inline skates, no roller skates, and no wheeled vehicles (other than registered wheelchair and official Bike EMS and Patrol Teams) will be allowed on the course. Strollers and baby joggers are allowed for the 5K event only; participants with these items must start at the back.
Bib Pick-Up
Participants must attend the Coast Guard Marathon Health & Fitness Expo prior to their first event to pick up their race bib and swag bag. There will be NO Race Day Packet Pickup. Please use the instructions below to ensure you have your bib on race day.
- For pickup, please have your ID available during the established Health & Fitness Expo’s established times (listed above).
- If picking up another runner’s package – please provide a copy of both your ID and their ID.
What You Need:
You must present a photo ID and know your bib number in order to pick up your bib. Bib numbers will be issued in late February, and you may either look them up ahead of time, or look them up at the designated Bib Number Look-Up station at the Expo.
Awards
Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in the following categories:
9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
Awards will also be presented to the top finishers in each of the following categories:
